HARARE, – In a move aimed at aligning institutional goals with the broader national agenda, senior officials and members of the board from the Upper Manyame Sub-Catchment Council (UMSCC) recently attended an intensive training program at the Herbert Chitepo School of Ideology.

The training focused on foundational national ideologies, the history of Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle, and the principles of national development. The program provided a platform for the council’s leadership to deepen their understanding of the country’s socio-economic vision and the role of key institutions in its realization.
“Our attendance at the Chitepo School of Ideology was an invaluable experience,” said a UMSCC representative. “It has provided us with a fresh perspective on how our mandate of water resource management and catchment protection is a critical component of national development. By understanding the core tenets of our nation’s vision, we are better equipped to serve our community and contribute meaningfully to a prosperous Zimbabwe.”

The UMSCC leadership believes this ideological training will strengthen their commitment to public service and enhance the council’s ability to implement policies that are both effective and aligned with the country’s long-term objectives. The council remains dedicated to managing the Sub-Catchment area in a way that supports a sustainable and resilient future for all.
