As an exhibitor, the Upper Manyame Sub-Catchment Council used the opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of sustainable water resources management, water conservation and catchment protection in supporting agricultural development. Visitors to the Council’s exhibition stand were engaged on responsible water use, water allocation, pollution prevention and the need to protect water sources and catchment areas.
The theme of the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show highlighted the growing connection between agriculture, technology and commerce, with water resources remaining an important foundation for all three. Reliable and well-managed water resources support agricultural production, enable businesses to operate and create opportunities for the adoption of technologies that improve efficiency and productivity. The Council also used the exhibition to promote the responsible use of water as agriculture and other economic activities continue to grow. Through interactions with farmers and other stakeholders, the Council emphasized that increased productivity must go hand in hand with the conservation and protection of the water resources that sustain it.

The exhibition further provided an opportunity for the Council to engage with stakeholders from different sectors, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships around sustainable water management. Such collaboration is essential in addressing water challenges and ensuring that development does not compromise the availability and quality of water resources.
Through its participation at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show 2026, the Upper Manyame Sub-Catchment Council reaffirmed its commitment to protecting catchments, conserving water and promoting responsible water use as Zimbabwe continues to pursue agricultural and economic growth.
The Council extends its appreciation to all stakeholders and visitors who visited its exhibition stand and participated in discussions on water resources management. As agriculture, technology and commerce converge to power growth, protecting our water resources remains essential to sustaining that growth.
